Articulate Storyline & Rise Module

As a way to deepen my skills in Articulate 360, I created this module as both a prototype and a learning lab. It builds on the ADDIE-based course I designed for my Digital Learning Design diploma, but was developed independently to explore how Rise and Storyline could be used together to deliver a compelling, learner-centered experience.

For more context, see the spotlight for the course this is a part of, or the full project submission representing all stages of ADDIE.

The goal was to prototype the first full module of the course, including interactive assessments, real-world context, and a cohesive flow from introduction to evaluation.

My role.

I designed, wrote, built, and narrated (with an AI tool) the entire module—from learning objectives to interaction design.

What I did.

I used Adobe CC to create branding for the fictional company of Summit Learning, plus a combination of direct illustration, AI-generated imagery, and paid artwork. Then I used Articulate Storyline to create an engaging audio-based introduction and a drag-and-drop knowledge check, embedding that into a Rise module that presented the core content and assessment. The result was a fully functional prototype that demonstrates how multimedia, branching, and layered content can work together to support applied learning in healthcare contexts.

Wrapping up…

This project demonstrates my ability to create polished, interactive learning experiences using industry-standard tools like Articulate Rise and Storyline. More than a technical exercise, it reflects my focus on learner engagement, scenario-based design, and meaningful assessment—especially for complex, high-stakes fields like healthcare. It also showcases my creative range, from instructional strategy to visual design to AI-powered narration, all in service of making learning clear, accessible, and actionable.
