Microlearning Infographic for Instructional Designers

As part of the Design Learning Experiences certificate program, our team set out to create an engaging resource to introduce instructional designers to microlearning. With so much buzz around the term, we wanted to distill the concept into something clear, visually appealing, and practical—something that could be shared easily in a learning community or onboarding toolkit.

My role.

I served as project manager and lead designer. I coordinated our remote team using WhatsApp, facilitated research collection through shared Google Docs, and ensured we had a focused message supported by evidence and design principles.

What I did.

  • Led team collaboration and project management in a fully remote setting

  • Used ChatGPT to synthesize key research findings and streamline our messaging

  • Designed a cohesive and accessible infographic in Canva that explained microlearning with clarity and visual hierarchy

  • Developed practical application scenarios to bring the concept to life for L&D professionals

The Canva-designed infographic, showing a definition of microlearning, pros and cons of the approach, and some scenarios for use. Each scenario maps a different learning need—regulated environments, workshop preparation, and just-in-time updates.

Wrapping up…

This project reflects my ability to translate complex instructional topics into digestible, engaging formats—an essential skill in creating learner-centered content. It also highlights how I blend strategy, design, and team leadership to deliver high-quality learning artifacts, even in agile, distributed environments. And it shows a touch of the playfulness I like to bring to the learning experiences I design.
